Conference Venue

The Conference will be held in the Empress Convention Centre, an attractively decorated building with suitable spaces and technological infrastructure which make it the perfect choice for academic and scientific meetings. The Centre's 980 square meters of pillar-less hall space and another 660 square meters of meeting area with complete sound proof partitions combine flexibility and adaptability with functionality. Supporting facilities such as simultaneous interpretation equipment and small breakout rooms are available.

Apart from the Empress Grand Conference Hall capable of holding more than 600 persons, there is ambient space for poster and trade exhibition. AstroExpo 2011, and the parallel activities of APRIM2011 on the second and third floors.

The Empress Convention Centre occupies a building adjacent to the Empress Hotel, the officially-assigned accommodation for APRIM 2011.

SPECIFICATION LOOBY LEVEL GROUND FLOOR (MAX. HIGHT 11.0 MTRS.)


Food courts: During the event (conference, exhibition etc.) ECC lobby level is capable to provide an array of hot and cold food stalls buffet style.
The Coffee Urn: A 40 seats coffee corner located at the lobby level to offer coffee, tea and bakery products.
Business Center: ECC has full range of professional business center facilities and equipment available onsite for clients and event organizers to use. Standard service include internet connections, e-mail, scanner, word processing, fax, photocopying and stationery supplies.


FIRST FLOOR (MAX. HIGHT 6.5 MRTS.)


Meeting rooms: With five large meeting rooms on the second floor and four small board rooms on the upper lobby providing maximum flexibility in choosing locations for breakout meetings and small sessions rooms. All meeting rooms provide a range of audio-visual features including a digital wall display, Conference call facilities and high speed, wireless Internet service.


SECOND FLOOR (MAX. HIGHT 8 MTRS.)


Empress Grand Hall: The main hall of ECC useful for large conference or seminar type of function. Lighting the Grand hall will enhance any event, Whether it is a corporate incentive or conference, a product launch, fashion show or gala event.
